My Saiyuki section is kind of ... large. Yeah, I think I can say that without going too far out on a limb here.
I have to admit to being a bit surprised at how much my Saiyuki collection has grown, and how much this show and its artwork have captured my heart. I can still remember purchasing my very first Saiyuki sketch. It was an impulse buy. At the time, I hadn't been collecting for very long, but I was fond of Saiyuki. So, I figured having one sketch from the show would be kind of a kick -- even though I just knew I would never like sketches as much as cels, even though I just knew I would never want much of a collection from this show.
Uh, yeah. Famous last words. I looked at that first sketch ... and just fell in love. Head over heels. One sketch turned into two, which turned into three, which, somewhere along the way, turned into twenty ... and then thirty and then ... well, you get the picture. I'm still going strong with this show, and I can't see myself ever truly losing the urge to collect from it. What can I say? I'm in love. And fangirl love isn't pretty, folks.
Given the rather nutso growth in this area of my gallery, I thought it would be fun to create a section to showcase some of my favorites.
