The Final Judgment is one of the most pivotal moments in Card Captor Sakura. It's when we discover a shocking secret about someone close to Sakura. It's a moment when a new, pivotal character is finally introduced. It's a time when she must face her fears and draw upon her inner strength and courage to take hold of her destiny. It's the first moment we realize just how brightly Sakura's star shines and just how strong, courageous, and pure she really is. It's a time of heartbreak wrapped up in supreme triumph. It's the end of everything, and, yet, in so many ways, it's only the beginning.
Needless to say, the Final Judgment, beginning at the very end of Episode 45 and spanning through Episode 46 is something special. Tense, dramatic, action-packed and full of emotion. To me, this is where this story really started to take off. There were hints along the way -- things are not as sweet as they seem, they are not as perfect as they seem. But this was when you feel the wheels come off, and you realize you have been watching a show of incredible depth. I was shocked by the revelations in these episodes. I was enchanted by the masterful way in which they were revealed, which was storytelling at its very best. I cried and cheered for Sakura, and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
