Loveless
Home/Change Series
Loveless is the story of Ritsuka, a boy from an abusive home who is trying to recover from the sudden death of his beloved older brother. Along with his grief, Ritsuka is having to deal with a strange sort of memory loss. Two years ago, he awoke with no memory of who he was, and, at the point where the show starts, he only has memories of the past two years. Ritsuka's mother is still grieving over his brother's death, and she can't accept that Ritsuka is who he says he is. She constantly tests him to determine if he is the "real" Ritsuka, and, often, asks him where Ritsuka is. Into this cesspool of mental anguish and emotional abuse steps Soubi. Soubi waits outside Ritsuka's school one day, introducing himself as a friend of Ritsuka's deceased brother. Through Soubi, Ritsuka learns that there is a subculture made up of teams of Fighters and their Sacrifices. It turns out that Soubi and Ritsuka's brother were such a team, and, now, Soubi has sought Ritsuka out at his brother's request. But, why? Is Ritsuka supposed to team up with Soubi? Or, did Ritsuka's brother send Soubi to protect Ritsuka?
