In this layout, I decided I would try to showcase a rather overlooked and seldom-visited section of my little gallery: Mahou Tsukai Tai. This is a series that I adore on so many levels and for so many reasons. It's one of those shows that I watch again and again, and it never loses that special hold it has over me.
If you've never watched this show, the short summary is that Mahou Tsukai Tai is about a small group of high school kids (all members of their school's rather unpopular "Magic User's Club") who inadvertently save the world from a mysterious alien invasion. And yet, this brief summary doesn't come close to doing this show justice.
Mahou Tsukai Tai is all about the emotions of being a teenager, the bittersweet feeling of first love, the fear of having to do something huge and unexpected, and the power and magic of friendships that are meant to last a lifetime. It's definitely one of "those" shows for me: the kind that I love more and more each time I watch it.
Right now, my Mahou Tsukai Tai collection is pretty small. I dream of, one day, having a lovely and large collection for this series that means so much to me. Dreams are nice and fun, but, in the meantime, I'll just be happy with what I've managed to squirrel away.
**NOTE: Many of the cels in this gallery appear as "opening cels" according to the RS gallery info provided with them. Most of the time, this information is incorrect. The false listings are caused by a glitch within RS itself; I have gone through the gallery and corrected the information several times ... only to have it reappear. Thus, I have given up on trying to fix it. Instead, I have separately noted, within the individual cel descriptions, any cel that truly is an opening cel. **
