Hello, Cel World! I'm still alive!! (As of June 2, 2020, that is.) It's been a hot minute and a half since I have done anything to my gallery or its layout. I was visiting today and thinking about all of my great memories cel collecting. So I decided to give my RS gallery a little revamp.
This layout celebrates one of my absolute favorite animes: Saiyuki. I love this show in every incarnation it has. And I love the manga, too. The artwork that came out of the manga and various shows and movies speaks to my soul in a way that is hard to explain. It's an "old" show now, but I have never lost my love for it.
And, of course, we are quickly heading into the hot months of Summer. It's already muggy and hot in my corner of the universe, with the ominous rumble of thunder frequently punctuating our evenings. With all the uncertainty in the world right now, I think this Summer may feel endless. But will it be endless in a good way, bringing fresh memories and love into our hearts? Or will it be endless in a bad way, with fear and uncertainty claiming the day? Only time will tell.
I am no longer actively collecting cels or anime artwork of any kind. I continue to visit my collection, and it continues to give me pleasure each and every day. But I have moved on to other hobbies. I've been lucky enough to snag some of my biggest wishlist items, and I no longer feel the need to add to my hoard. To those of you still out there and collecting: I am with you in spirit! **NOTE: Many of the cels in this gallery appear as "opening cels" according to the RS gallery info provided with them. Most of the time, this information is incorrect. The false listings are caused by a glitch within RS itself; I have gone through the gallery and corrected the information several times ... only to have it reappear. Thus, I have given up on trying to fix it. Instead, I have separately noted, within the individual cel descriptions, any cel that truly is an opening cel. **

| | | | 6/2/2020 | | Gallery layout update today. Funnily enough, I just realized my last news update almost 6 years ago involved setting my gallery to this exact same layout. How funny is that? (I have had a different one, based on Rurouni Kenshin) up for a number of years. I just hadn't posted a news item about it. Anyhow...) | | | | 8/10/2014 | | A one-cel update today! I added a lovely cel of Aya-chan from the 1st WK Ending. Also changed out my layout a few days ago. I wanted a new Saiyuki layout, using more sketch art, as well as something that felt kind of "summery". Aaaaand, it seems my gallery will probably go back into "hibernation mode" now. Ha, ha! :D | | | | 7/18/2014 | | Unbelievably, it's been OVER A YEAR (!!) since I last updated my gallery. I'm still alive, but life has been busy. And I don't collect as much as I used to. Finally got around to scanning some things I've had for a while, so there are new additions in Weiss Kreuz: OVA, Weiss Kreuz: Group/Others, Orphen: Others, Saiyuki Reload: The Boyz, Saiyuki: The Openings, and Ze Fan Art: Crystal. | | |
